You will not be disappointed, this is a wave rich region with miles of empty beach breaks. Advanced level riders will not be short of challenge or adventure searching out empty, uncrowded waves. Beginners too, will find that they have room to spread out and surf a wave that meets their own level of challenge - without the fear of getting shreaded by a speeding pro, or knocking their friends teeth out by bailing their board in the rolling whitewater or crashing wave - right in front of another person paddling out. There is room for everyone here.

We also have available to rent quality Longboards and Shortboards.

The water of Playa Grande is warm to very warm year round. We get south swells all year, very increased chances of intense swells from March until November.

Our dry season is November to April - where you can expect to find mainly offshore wind conditions prevailling. The rainy season starts in April, and pretty much lasts until October. And the winds are more diurnal in pattern - being offshore in the morning, and onshore in the day. However glass offs are common as are blown out conditions as storm cells pass by, offshore conditons are possible too. It just depends. No matter what, the surf is reliable and fun.
