Playa Grande Surf Camp cottage rates are:

Rooms with A/C are: USD $45/night/2 people or $35/night/person

Rooms without A/C are: USD $15/night/person

Above rates are subject to change without prior notice.

Package Rates
Per Person - $100.00 per nite includes surf board, bed, lesson, and meal.

Transfer
One-way shuttle transfers to Playa Grande Surf Camp from Liberia International Airport (LIR) for a minimum of 2 people is USD $24/person.

Currency
Ideally, you will want to have currency on hand, as currency exchange can be a time consuming inconvenience in the rural areas of Costa Rica. US dollars are widely accepted in the country. However, your exchange rate may not be as favorable as it could be.

Credit Cards can be a problem too at smaller vendors - with extra surcharges being applied or not being accepted at all.

Your best bet is to arrive at the airport with your some of your currency exchanged, and the remainder safely held asTraveller's Checks. Traveller's checks are best exchanged in the major Costa Rican cities or towns. Exchanging Traveller's Checks in the smaller towns can possibly be a time consuming issue. However, it still is safer than travelling with a huge wad of cash in your pocket.

Costa Rica is a safe country, but like any country, crime does exist, and traveller's make an easy target. Be safe. Be smart. Conceal your neccessary valuables - and leave your diamonds and glitz at home.
